What is
bartering?
Bartering is "trading" for a service, or for the goods you want. In
essence, bartering is simply buying or paying for goods or services using
some thing other than money. In the traditional sense bartering requires
two parties getting together to discuss and trade their Items and
Services. In the online world you can have "virtual" meetings that allow
you to instantly show your Items and Services to others across the Globe.

What can I barter?
Just about anything (anything legal that is);
- Music Items such as guitars, kit-drums, pianos, equipment,
Pro-audio,
etc.
- Music Services such as Music Skills, Performances, Studio Time, CD
Duplication etc.
- CD's, Tapes and Records of all kinds including collectables
- Non-music Items such as computers, jewelry, collectables, tickets
and much more.
- Non-music Services such as plumbing, electrical contracting,
consulting, lawn care and more.

If this is a musicians bartering club, why do you allow bartering of
non-music items and services?
Musicians usually have day jobs or other businesses that are great for
bartering. Many recording studios barter recordings for services they need
like, painting, repairs, carpeting and A/C repairs. Others who don’t
really know what they want are open to hear offers.

what should I do first?
Register by providing us with your username and creating a password.
Registration is free! Then place you’re free ad to let others now what you
have for barter. It can be for example, a Service you provide or an Item you
are looking for. Then read the How it works
section. You can also search
the database to find what you’re looking for.

What is a username?
A username helps us provide you a total status and history of your account
at SoundBarter. We use your email address as your username because it is
unique and something you should have no trouble remembering.

What if I place an ad. but don't seem to get the right offers?
Leave your ad. running, new listings are coming in daily and others will
be sending you emails with new offers. Our system will automatically
advise you if something similar gets listed. Your item listing can run
until you ask to have it removed from our site.

Can I buy
the item up for barter?
Yes, you are responsible for your own negotiations - we don’t mind how you
put the deal together.

Why
